Not a Funny Word by Tara Flynn

by Tara Flynn

Not A Funny Word premiered as a work in progress at The Abbey Theatre and went on to wow audiences at THISISPOPBABY’s Where We Live Festival in 2018.

In a deeply personal and bravely funny testimony, actor, comedian and activist Tara Flynn shares her account of having to travel out of Ireland for an abortion.

In the run up to the Referendum to Repeal the 8th Amendment of the Irish Constitution, we brought this incredible show to Cork, Galway and Dublin.

Not A Funny Word played to sell-out crowds, standing ovations and rave reviews at both the Peacock last year and at Where We Live as part of St Patrick’s Festival in March. With searing honesty, Not a Funny Word examines the status quo through one woman’s own journey. And songs.
