Having started with a sold-out run in a spiegeltent in Merrion Square in 2016, and then playing to standing ovations in Sydney, Melbourne, New York and Toronto, RIOT received warm welcomes and rave reviews around the world. From 1-4 May 2019 we brought it home to Vicar Street for six very special final shows.
The response from the home audience blew us away!
Once again we had amazing surprise guests join us for each performance: James Vincent McMorrow, Villagers, Pillow Queens, Lankum, Loah and Camille O’Sullivan!
Each act brought something different to the show, and the audience reactions (the gasps! the surprise!) were electric.
Some people came to see the RIOT crew strut their stuff for a second, third, even a fifth time!
It was very special to bring this show back to Dublin to such an amazing, fizzy reception. We’re super grateful to Dublin Dance Festival for their support in making this happen, and to the Vicar Street team for playing a blinder. We couldn’t have done it without yis!
A huge thanks to everyone who joined the RIOT with us one last time!
