We are delighted to kick off THISISPOPBABY’s Playwright Sessions with an in-conversation talk featuring two of Ireland’s most exciting theatre writers, Nancy Harris and Mark O’Halloran. Nancy joins us on a break in her tech schedule for The Magician’s Elephant, a new musical with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Mark joins us having just opened his new play Conversations After Sex with THISISPOPBABY as part of Dublin Theatre Festival. Both at the top of their game, Nancy and Mark will discuss craft, process and their love of theatre. The Session will be hosted by playwright Phillip McMahon and facilitated by artist and arts manager, Lian Bell.
Our inaugural Session takes place over Zoom at 19.30pm GMT on Wednesday October 13th. The talk will last for 60 minutes including some time for some questions from the group. There will then be a further 30 minutes for the conversation to open up to the ‘floor’. The Playwright Sessions series will take many forms, including talks, masterclasses and talkshops – so each Session will have an opportunity for participants to chat and connect.
